canvas painting
Painting on canvas is the technique by which the most important works of painting have been created over the centuries. This technique is still readily used by contemporary artists despite the expansion of digital techniques. There is no comparison between the image on the screen of a device and the view of a painting on canvas, which we can touch, feel under our fingertips and follow the artist's brushstrokes. Canvas as a substrate is wonderfully suitable for painting. The canvas gives its structure from the very beginning, which works well with the successive layers of paint that are applied. It should also be mentioned that painting on canvas already has a history, and the technique has been improved and perfected. Artists have achieved incredible skill in the creation of paintings on this type of underlay. We can admire them in many museums around the world. We are currently living in a time of general acceleration. This has not bypassed painting on canvas. Quick-drying acrylic paints were invented. Paintings with acrylic are created quickly. The colours of these paints are vibrant and bright. They can compete with the glowing colours of digital paintings. Acrylic paintings have not eliminated oil paintings. Painting on canvas is currently done with acrylic and oil paints.
