Grow Up – hear children from adults. Even if they weren’t spoken to like that, they want to grow up themselves. Growing up and then being an adult seems attractive. Adulthood is about living life to the full. That’s how it seems to them. And what is it like for plants? We can’t ask them, they won’t answer us. We can observe them. We know that plant growth is linked to the seasons. In spring, everything grows wildly. Plants wake up to life and grow up. They put out buds from which leaves and flowers develop. The green of the leaves is fresh, juicy. The forest becomes thick with green. And in the midst of this thicket, birds sing. Nature then exudes the energy of growth. The call to grow up becomes redundant. Everyone involved in this performance knows what to do. It is as if an invisible director is giving them instructions. And we humans watch this growth, receive energy for life and hope for the future.
