Hare in the meadow

Hare’s meadow is its home. The field is his natural habitat, his home. Home is where we want to be, where we feel safe. Does the hare feel safe in the meadow? It will not answer this question for us, we can only guess. Probably his answer would be inconclusive. And from our observations, we can conclude that the meadow is and is not a safe place for the hare. It is home to excellent and varied food and is covered with tall grasses and herbs in which to hide. This is probably the most important rule for the hare to hide from danger. The painting wants to show the hare hidden in the green of the meadow. In its desire to hide, it has even become similar to its surroundings in color. Only his dark sharp eye betrays his presence. The dark spot of the hare’s eye is visible against the green background. It looks directly at the viewer. Can the viewer threaten the hare? I hope not. I would like us to look with sympathy at the hare and its attempts to hide. I would like us to say to him: don’t pretend, we see you! We know the tricks. Many times we want to hide, to become invisible. Sometimes we close our eyes and think we are not there. We do not go to the meadow. How about following in the footsteps of the hare? Should we look for it on the internet, in the largest online social network for artists and art enthusiasts – Deviantart? Or simply in a hare’s meadow?
