Cloud painters hold a unique and esteemed position in the annals of art history. After all, each one of us gazes upon clouds, finding ourselves captivated by their ethereal beauty. Artists, too, find themselves walking beneath these celestial wonders, drawing inspiration from their ever-changing forms and evocative nature. Clouds, with their whimsical dance across the sky, are a constant source of fascination, stimulating our imaginations and conjuring a myriad of associations and images.
Yet, despite their enchanting allure, the cloud-filled landscapes of the heavens are not as frequently depicted in paintings as they truly deserve. Understandably, there are countless earthly subjects that demand attention and portrayal within the realm of art. However, it is within this context that the drawing of “Cloudy Touch” was born, a creation that emerged during a period of forced rest. It was during this time that I had the opportunity to observe the clouds, witnessing their dramatic displays as they descended and seemingly brushed against the very ground beneath them. In those moments, I couldn’t help but feel as though some higher power was at play, orchestrating this majestic spectacle.
With a sense of awe and wonder, I endeavoured to capture the magical and monumental essence of these clouds upon a small piece of paper. The result was a drawing that sought to convey the grandeur and mystique of these celestial formations. By my cloudy pen reviews of the sky art were written.
