A butterfly in a meadow – a fairly common sight in summer. A meadow is a carpet of dense vegetation dotted with colorful flowers. And above this carpet float moving colored dots – butterflies. Through them, nature shows us in yet another way how to spread the sensation of beauty. And the very existence of the butterfly is based on the combination of its beauty and the beauty of the flower – the source of its nourishment. When a butterfly perch on a flower to sip its sweet, aromatic nectar, we can observe the extraordinary spectacle that a meadow offers us. Do we realize this? Probably not. It seems ordinary to us. We need to stop and take some time to observe. To watch how it circles above the meadow, how it perches on a chosen flower. The question arises: why did it choose this flower and not another? Perhaps, scientists and butterfly experts can answer this question. Their answer will be the result of time-consuming observations. The butterfly itself will not tell them anything. I remain in the realm of my guesses. In my painting, the butterfly has chosen a red flower hidden in the grass. To reach it, it has to overcome a green obstacle. I wish him success.
Of course, I saw many butterflies flitting from flower to flower. One would like to paint them all. But then I would become a butterfly artist. And yet there are so many other nature paintings waiting to be painted.
