What is ai art

What is AI art
The topic of AI art has become increasingly relevant in contemporary art circles. Despite its prevalence, many individuals struggle to define what exactly AI art is and form an opinion on the matter. The question remains: is it even possible to answer it?
Artificial intelligence, or AI, refers to the ability of machines to perform tasks that typically require human intelligence, such as learning, problem-solving, and decision-making. In the context of art, AI is used to create works that are generated or influenced by algorithms and computer programs.
AI art can take many forms, from digital paintings and sculptures to interactive installations and performances. Some argue that AI art challenges traditional notions of authorship and creativity, as the machine itself plays a significant role in the creation process.
However, others question whether AI art can truly be considered art, as it lacks the emotional depth and intentionality that is often associated with human-made works. Ultimately, the definition of AI art remains a subject of debate and interpretation.
As technology continues to advance, it is likely that AI art will become an increasingly prevalent and influential aspect of the art world. It is up to each individual to decide whether they believe AI art is a legitimate form of artistic expression or not.
Contemporary Art: Where Anything Goes
Long before the term AI came into existence, contemporary art had already been enjoying what we would call complete freedom. However, let’s be clear, complete freedom does not exist in any area of our lives. We are always confronted with some kind of constraint, and the artist is limited by their imagination, which is not an unlimited resource.
In this realm of freedom, artists have created works that in previous centuries would have never been considered art. They have pushed the boundaries to see how far they can go and still be considered artists. Through various methods such as protests, shock, denial of values, and other violent actions, they have achieved a great deal. Their actions have been named, and the names have become the titles of subsequent chapters in art history. The artists’ heroic struggles and battles won have passed into the cultural mainstream.
As a result, we have lived a relatively peaceful life in the diversity of contemporary art. The public has been trained to understand, or at least pretend to understand, works that may offend them or that they simply do not like. It would seem that this is the end of history in art. However, suddenly AI has appeared.
The emergence of AI has brought a new dimension to contemporary art. It has opened up new possibilities for artists to explore and experiment with. AI has the potential to create art that is beyond human imagination. It can generate new forms, colors, and shapes that have never been seen before. It can also analyse and interpret data in ways that humans cannot.
The integration of AI in contemporary art has sparked a new debate about the role of technology in art. Some argue that AI is a threat to human creativity, while others see it as an opportunity to expand the boundaries of art. Regardless of the debate, one thing is clear: AI has disrupted the traditional notions of art and has opened up new avenues for artists to explore.
AI Art: The Changing Landscape of the Art World
Artificial intelligence has revolutionized the art world, transforming it in ways that were once unimaginable. In the past, contemporary artists had the freedom to create works that were often deemed worthless. However, the concept of value in art is a complex topic that requires further exploration. Regardless, these works still required a significant amount of time and effort to create.
Now, with the advent of AI, art can be created in mere seconds. Using data collected from various sources, AI can generate paintings on any subject, catering to our every whim. The result is a digital image that challenges our traditional notions of art.
As AI continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how it shapes the future of art. Will it replace traditional art forms, or will it coexist alongside them? Only time will tell.
Digital art alongside traditional art
We have been coexisting with digital art for some time. We can do it, we are artists who work with our hands. Societies, people, and recipients of our works have not condemned us to extinction. Now we have to confront the “even more digital” works. And we humans are real beings of flesh and blood. We need art that will also satisfy our sense of touch.

This post is illustrated with no AI images. I keep doing my art with my hands.
