This is a picture about amazement. Man has reason to be amazed. The world and life are a mystery. There are so many unanswered questions. The head detached from the man’s body is placed in front of the viewer. He looks out from behind a black veil, we can only see half of his face. I want to show through this picture that many things are hidden from us. We will not find out and understand everything. And so we live, very realistically, in our bodies.
