Intimate drawings
Intimate drawings– unleashing your inner emotions
In a world that often encourages us to hide our emotions, there is a beauty in expressing them through art. And what better way to tap into our innermost feelings than through the art of intimate drawings? This form of expression allows me to delve into the depths of our emotions, unveiling visual representation of what lies within. Intimacy drawing is an art form that goes beyond a simple sketch or painting. People together drawing captures the essence of relationships. The titles of these drawings feature the words “room” and “boom.” The term “room” is associated with intimate settings, where individuals can separate themselves from others while remaining close. The four walls of a room create a protective enclosure, providing a barrier between oneself and the outside world. Within this space, an atmosphere conducive to the exchange of emotions is fostered. In this context, words may become unnecessary or redundant, and even the absence of light fails to disturb the experience. Profound moments can be shared within the confines of a dark room. Paradoxically, barriers emerge within this limited space. These barriers are invisible lines, etched in the minds and psyches of those who stand or sit across from each other. Despite their physical proximity, they remain emotionally distant. Truly, people in a together drawing, intimacy in intimate drawings, can reveal numerous facets of this complex phenomenon. I let emotions speak through the stroke and dot of drawing intimacy. Physical intimacy ideas must be translated into visual language. This is a difficult task for the artist because the subject of the show is so difficult to define.
Intimate drawings
The state of intimacy is ambiguous. It can be experienced in many ways, but it is dominated above all feelings by a sense of security and peace. I think this is the condition for feeling intimate. And joy? Can it take hold in intimacy? I think yes, the kind of quiet joy that accompanies us when we are well, just like that. There are moments – we feel good without knowing exactly why. These are moments of happiness? Or fullness of life? Or dare we say – love. Then intimate drawings turn into a lover intimate sketches. My drawing made of dots and dashes is also a drawing of joy.
This intimacy illustration in two colors – black and white as intimate drawing, offers the opportunity to create a pure visual message. Drawing intimacy is a special task. On the one hand, the mood of privacy must be preserved and therefore not shown, rather hidden, and on the other hand, depicted and therefore shown. Intimacy is one of the many puzzles of life, worth to depict also in color, in an intimacy painting.
What makes people to collect intimate drawings
They are generally less valuable as investments than paintings and less colorful. But they relate to everyone’s experiences of putting marks on paper. Experiences from early stage of everyone’s life. So drawings are a very personal kind of art. And intimate line art is deeply involved in ones person.
These drawings enhance the general feature of this art. Peter Steinhart, in his book Undressed Art writes that drawing is a way of making connections with the things that surround us and with the forces that shape and animate and move them. It’s a way of taking in the world’s strangeness and power and finding comfort in it.
I am sure that he had also intimate drawings in mind.
